In the 20s of October, if the colors have not fully hit us by now, we can expect they will this week. The cold snaps have hit (seemingly in rush, one just a week after the other) and that means the colors will come out from the flora up close and miles and miles and miles away. The entire Smoky Mountain region comes something akin to a bowl of Fruity Pebbles as seen from popular high places like Clingman’s Dome, Ober Gatlinburg and, yes, our Smoky Mountain cabins.
The Harvest Festival season goes on for another week and a half after this, right up to Halloween and ending on November 1st. There is only a short lull in seasonal activities from there as the annual Winterfest Kick-off in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (Sevierville will not be holding one this year).
